I have a difficult time resisting hat boxes and even more so is my lack of control when it comes to stunning garden roses. Combine the two, and its eye candy for me.
Hat box flower arrangements are the perfect “to-travel-with” gift and are on the top of my list of favorite gifts that I will personally deliver to the best of friends for special occasions. It’s a no fuss, easy to handle gift which almost always makes it as the official centerpiece for the hosting room.
To keep my hat box arrangements interesting I create new designs every year so those receiving this gift are always pleasantly surprised. In this piece, I’ve used guara, also known as wand flower, for its long wand-like stem. With petite, delicate blooms similar to jasmine, it’s the perfect unexpected element to accent the design. And for an added touch of organic boldness, I’ve included tomatillos. Finally, podocarpus and draping asparagus fern complete the design for the perfect finishing touch!

Flowering purses have gained a category of their own due to their overwhelming popularity among the fashionable ladies of Boca Raton. Cute and fashionable, these purses filled with fresh flowers vary in shape, size and type which include either bamboo reeds, fresh leaves or moss. Overflowing with fresh blooms of the day, we’ve received many advance request to have them customized for parties, fashion shows, weddings and everyday gift giving. They’ve been used as a substitute for both the traditional flower girl basket as well a the traditional bridal bouquet. For an organic feel, we recommend the succulent and moss purse. If you’re more of a posh fashionista, checkout our orchid blooms in “bamboo reeds” purse. These purses are all designed to impress, but our all-time favorite, is our tea rose purse, showcasing a classic Victorian look.

Heirloom Roses – Summer’s Treat
This heirloom rose variety is a favorite for flower arrangements. They may look delicate, but they are hardy and long lasting. This particular variety is “Iceberg”. As a plant, it’s a climbing rose vines that blooms in the summer months. It’s quite interesting to observe this rose as a cut stem for its lively and playful character. Given bright light during the daytime hours, the blooms will open to display the yellow centers. As nighttime sets in, they will close slightly and bend to the nearest source of light.
