Flower Colors

Vibrant Flowers

Vibrant refers to colors that are aggressive & eye catching. Warm tones such as orange & yellow tend to steal the show. Coral, magenta and hot pink also bring a cheerful presence when mixed with blues & purples. Vibrant flowers are available for every season. When selecting a brightly colored arrangement, keep the following tips in mind:
Color Combination - Limit your color selection to three main colors. Too many vibrant colors in one vase can be visually confusing.

Contrast- select colors that contrast each other. This will bring a sharper, more defined flower arrangement.
Season- Try to pair colors with seasons. A good example of what not to do is pairing orange with winter.

MONOCHROMATIC FLOWER TONES
Monochrome palate, referring to the many shades of a single color, creates a bold, yet peaceful statement. Fusing multiple colors can be too distracting & lack the bold impact of a monochromatic arrangement.
Due to the boldness of monochromatic flower arrangements, they tend to loose the "flower arrangement" look and become more of a "statement piece". Monochromatic arrangements make the perfect entry-way piece or reception piece.

Monochromatic arrangements are typicall used by interior designers to bring in a color that completes a room without added distractions.

NEUTRAL FLOWER TONES
Neutral tone flowers tend to refer to those in whites, cremes and greens.
They are soothing, calm and soft to the eye.
Neutral tone flowers are the most flexible and forgiving of all the color palates. They will never clash with surrounding decor, only enhance it.
Tip: If you are not sure what colors to select, play it safe and go neutral.

Purple Flowers

Magenta, the friendliest of jewel tones, pairs well with blues, reds, purples and oranges.

For a sassy, vibrant look, select warm jewel tones such as orange, saffron & coral. Great for a luncheon or mid-afternoon display!
